Living Heritage of Oaxaca

As a family, we are proud of the state of Oaxaca, where the majority of speakers of Mexico's native languages ​​are concentrated. Thanks to this living heritage, recipes, agricultural knowledge, trades, and crafts full of color and tradition are preserved.

A mezcal that connects you to the earth

We are passionate about contributing to the preservation of the ancient tradition of agave distillation. Mezcal, for us, is mysticism, ritual, culture, craftsmanship — it is our ancestors, our roots, it is community.

There is a famous quote that says: “When you truly desire something with all your heart, the whole Universe conspires to help you achieve it.”
And that is exactly what happened at Casa Xamu. In 2024, together with our friend and Master Mezcalero, we decided to embark on a new life adventure — which led us to verify and certify all the processes and knowledge passed down through four generations of Master Mezcaleros. Our aim is to share our culture, tradition, and family history with the world through our mezcal.
